Redesign of the coat of arms of Methuen
Stemming from a conversation about how it was unclear what was on my hometown’s flag and seal, I went back to the source. I followed the original emblazoning of the coat of arms, which is shared by the town and the Baron Methuen, and created a new and clearer design.
Blazoning:
Argent three wolves’ heads erased Proper on the breast of an eagle with two heads displayed Sable. For supporters, on either side two fiery lynxes reguardant Proper collared having a line passing between their forelegs reflexed over their backs Or. For a motto, “Virtus Invidiae Scopus.”
